Four in a Row for Zack Riddle
For the fourth straight season and sixth of his career, Zack Riddle is once again the Late Model track champion at Madison. As a result of his successful season, Riddle is now tied with Nick Schmidt (Bandits) for most consecutive championships and is second all-time with his total of six track titles.
This season Riddle finished with a season high six feature wins to give him 39 for his Late Model career at Madison putting him just one win behind Rick Nelson for the all-time division lead. Add in two Madison Late Model and a truck win and he has 42 checkered flags here. He also finished in the top 3 in ten of eleven races and finished with 1104 points.
Earning runner-up honors was Shaun Scheel who finished with 928 points paced by two feature wins and five top three finishes. He now has five career feature wins in the division at Madison to go along with one Sportsman win. In 2023 Scheel finished fourth overall.
Will Rece took home a feature win this year enroute to his third place finish and 907 points. Rece also had three top three finishes. He has two career feature wins in the division to go along with his seven wins in the Sportsman division. Last season Rece fnished sixth in the points race.
Jesse Bernhagen (878) and Bobby Wilberg (825) points rounded out the top five. Even though they didn’t pick up a feature win, both drivers did have four top three finishes in the eleven events.
Completing the top ten were Jacob Gille (815), Stephen Scheel (671), Mathew Fairburn Jr. (636), Carter Nilson (617), and McKayla Adams (615). Finishing just outside the top ten was Ryan Goldade who had two feature wins in 2024
Mathew Fairburn Jr. edged Carter Nilson for Rookie of the Year honors.
Dan Snyder Earns First-Ever MISfitz Crown
Dan Snyder won his first-ever track championship in the Dave’s White Rock MISftiz and his third overall at Madison after winning back to back Bandits titles in 2014 and 2015. He finished the season with 1048 points including a division high three feature wins and podium finishes in eight out of the eleven feature races. Snyder now has four career feature wins in the division to go along with his eleven victories in the Bandits. Last year he was runner-up.
Defending and two-time track champion Dave Edwards finished in second place with 989 points and one feature win along with six top three finishes. He has seven career wins in the division plus single wins in the Trucks and Modifieds. He was the first track champion in 2019.
Rookie of the Year Kenny Storkson took home third place with 949 points and four top three finishes.
Brian Ulrich (889) and Kevin Anderson (752) finished in fourth and fifth with Anderson picking up one feature win.
Completing the top ten were Tim Wondrash (687), Mike Taylor (684), Mason Hellenbrand (682), Chris Wangrow (614) and Brady Liddle (517). Liddle took home two feature wins in 2024 with Nick Schneider, who finished eleventh,also taking home a feature win.
Dylan Klinger Rules the 6Shooters
Dylan Klinger is the first-ever track champion in the Roto Rooter 6Shooter division as he finished with 931 points and a season high four feature victories. He also finished in the top three in all ten races. He now has eight career wins on the Ring of Fire.
Runner-up in the 6Shooters was Trevor Chilson who finished the season with 844 points and two feature wins. For the season Chilson finished in the top three in five different races. Chilson has eleven divisional wins since 2015.
Randy Grancorvitz took home third place honors with 724 points with three top five finishes and nine out of ten finishes in the top ten.
Kenny Morris (695) and Gene Robbins (646) completed the top five. Robbins also garnered a feature win this season. It was his first at Madison.
Completing the top ten were Caleb Richards (623), Jason Morgan (587), Josh Morris (583), Jason Van Hise (579) and Nolan McNallie (556). Morris finished the season with three feature wins.
Nolan McNallie was Rookie of the Year.
Kennedy Krueger Wins HSRA Title
Kennedy Krueger became the first-ever track champion in the High School Racing Association (HSRA). Representing Melrose Mindoro High School, Krueger finished the season with 479 points powered by two feature wins and top five finishes in all five events.
Finishing a close second was Gracie Flanagan who tallied 477 points and also picked up two feature wins and four top three finishes.
Charlie Thompson finished third overall with 440 points and three top three finishes.
Completing the top five were Peyton Payne (326 points) and Jackson Martindale (265 points). Martindale also picked up a feature win on the final night of the season.
