Weekly Racing and Street Drags with a Mega Mix of Specials Ready for 2024 at Madison International Speedway

Oregon, WI- Madison International Speedway has released their schedule for the upcoming 2024 race season at the rural Wisconsin racing facility. A great mix of weekly racing, street drags and special events have filled the season schedule on the paved half mile oval, quarter mile bullring and 300 foot Street Drag Strip. Entering its tenth year under the ownership of the McKarns Family, the MIS schedule offers something for just about every motorsports enthusiast.

The Super Late Models will embark on ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ three times this season, with a pair of $15,000 to Win events. The 17th annual Joe Shear Classic 200 will take place on Sunday afternoon May 5 featuring the ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ASA Midwest Tour battling for the $15,000 top prize. The Midwest Tour both starts and ends the oval season at MIS when they return on Friday Night August 23 for the $5,000 to win Howie Lettow Classic 100. The Midwest Truck Series will join the Midwest Tour Super Late Models for both of these marquee events.

A new event for 2024 is slated for Friday Night June 14. The ASA STARS National Tour will kick-off their Wisconsin Father’s Day Weekend Swing at MIS featuring drivers from throughout the Nation in their high powered Super Late Models. The second year series will make their second ever visit to Madison. Last May saw 38 drivers compete in the ASA STARS field at MIS, the third largest Super Late Model count in the Nation.

Friday Night weekly racing will begin on May 17 with Championship Night on August 16. Twelve $1,000 to Win Weekly Late Model events are scheduled for 2024 as well as a dozen feature events for the Dave’s White Rock MISfitz. The Roto-Rooter 6shooters will take to the ‘Ring of Fire’ quarter-mile track on six event nights, for eleven feature events.

A Monster Truck Showdown on June 7 will be the first of three Kids Nights which offer free admission for ages 11 and under. Other promotions include the popular $2 Busch Light Night, Checkered Flag Night, High School Night, 2 for 1 admission night and the Racers’ Reunion/Senior Night.

The Bytec Dairyland 100 USAC Silver Crown event takes center stage on Friday June 21 during ‘Salute to America Night’, marking night one of three for the open wheel USAC cars in the Badger State. The night will be capped off by the Area’s Biggest and Best Fireworks Display. Fireworks are also scheduled to follow the Howie Lettow Classic 100 in August.

2024 will again see the Big 8 Late Models and Mid-Am Series visit MIS twice, May 24 and August 2 during the Union 464 Kids Night. Other visiting divisions, many which are part of the 4th annual Cheese Curd Cup on August 9 include the Midwest Dash, Hobby Stocks, Legends, Bandoleros, High School Racing Association, Bandits and Upper Midwest Vintage Series. The Impact Survival Series will again go for 300 laps in an Enduro, last year’s event was decided by 0.004 seconds at the line!

The ever-popular Street Drags which boasted 275 bracket entries last fall will fill six dates on the 2024 calendar. The Super Sunday Spring Street Drags will start the season on Sunday afternoon April 28 before moving to the second Thursday of each month beginning on Thursday May 9 and running through September 12.
