Weather Halts Scout Night at Madison International Speedway

Oregon, WI- Afternoon showers with unfavorable conditions predicted and indicated on radar have forced Madison International Speedway Officials to cancel tonight’s Frontier Servco FS Scout Night. “We felt with the rain we are currently getting and rain indicated on the radar heading our way, we were not going to be able to get our racing program completed for our teams and fans tonight.” Stated Madison International Speedway owner Gregg McKarns. “We will come back next week under sunny skies and try again.”

Next Friday night will now play host to the conclusion of the August 14 features for the NASCAR Late Models and Pellitteri Waste System Bandits as well as the entire Whelen Engineering NASCAR Championship Night program for the Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman and Bandits. Champions will be crowned in all three NASCAR Divisions next Friday night, racing action will begin at 7:30pm. Scouts in uniform will once again be admitted FREE of charge as well as any Public Safety (Fire, Police, EMS, Medical) with employer ID courtesy of Whelen Engineering.

The final event of the 2015 season will take place on Friday night September 11, Friday Night Fright which will feature the Tailgator and Mechanical Mischief Monster Trucks, Thundercat Fireworks, a School Bus Jump, the Roto Rooter 6shooters, Spectacular Drags, Drifting, an Ugly Truck Contest as well as a Demolition Derby.
