Oregon, WI- Weekly competitors in the Club LaMark NASCAR Late Models at Madison International Speedway will have the opportunity to capture up to $1,500 more in 2017 thanks to the race fans making up the United Race Fans of Wisconsin. They have put the money on the line for any driver choosing to start last during weekly Late Model competition at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ that is able to win the feature event.
The United Race Fans of Wisconsin Ultimate Challenge will be offered to the top two qualifiers each week as well as the previous feature winner, with one driver able to chase the reward which will begin at $200 and grow by $100 each event that it is not won. “We wanted to give back to the drivers, the Ultimate Challenge allows us to do that while adding an element of excitement for the race fans each night at MIS.” Stated United Race Fans of Wisconsin Member Tom Heacox.
The oval racing season begins on Sunday May 7 at Madison International Speedway, with the running of the Joe Shear Classic 200 for the ARCA Midwest Tour plus Mid-American Stock Cars and Midwest Trucks. NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action kicks off the weekly Friday night season on May 19, with Club LaMark NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits and Vintage Racing of Illinois.
