Two Chances to Help on Two Consecutive Saturdays at MIS

Oregon, WI- Race fans and teams will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves to help with pre-season preparations at Madison International Speedway on two consecutive Saturdays. On Saturday April 22, the new ‘Sue McKarns Playground’ will near completion as volunteer crews will be installing the final railings, walkways and slides which will be ready to greet young race fans once the 2017 season gets underway. The annual Track Clean-Up Day will take place on Saturday April 29, with various tasks to be accomplished. In past years, the diagonal stripes on the walls, bleacher repair, new Rita Stand, revitalized Popcorn stand, improved concession flow, pit grandstand and more have been accomplished by a dedicated group, making their home track that much better.

Who: Volunteers are invited to partake in either or both activities.

What: Playground completion and various projects around the track including updating the spotters stand.

When: Saturday April 22 8am-2pm; Saturday April 29 8am-2pm (open practice 1-4pm)

How: Bring work gloves, additional impact drills and hand tools can be utilized, additional needed tools should be on site, feel free to bring additional tools if desired.
