It’s Time!!!
It’s time to go racing at Madison International Speedway. Today is the fourth annual Joe Shear Classic featuring the ASA Midwest Tour Super Late Models and Madison Late Models. This event is named to honor one of the greatest drivers ever to race at Madison, Joe Shear. Over the course of twenty plus years of racing at Madison he won four track championships and sixty-six feature wins.
So who wins today? The ASA Midwest Tour field is loaded with the best drivers in the Midwest all capable of wheeling their way into victory lane. Will we see a new track record set in the Super Late Models today after Nick Panitzke went below the 17.4 mark twice during Friday night’s practice session. Which driver will join Ross Kenseth, Steve Carlson, and Nate Haseleu as “Classic” winners? Which Madison Late Model driver has figured out the new Hoosier tires that will bring more exciting side by side racing to Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile and wins the 40 lap feature?
For the answers to these questions and more, take the trip to Madison International Speedway today and join us for all the excitement. You’ll definitely be glad you did.
