Friday Night Review
Even though rain was all around us on Friday it stayed dry at the speedway allowing us to complete the racing program including the bike / big wheel / power wheel races for the kids. A big thanks to First Supply and Ziegler Crane Service for their generous donations of bikes and trophies.
Congratulations to Friday night feature winners Jon Reynolds Jr. (Late Models), Robert Hansberry Jr. (Sportsman), Nick Schmidt (Bandits), and Trevor Addams (Super Cups).
The win for Reynolds Jr. came after the race when the apparent winner was disqualified and the runner-up was penalized two position for a restart violation. In the Sportsman, Hansberry Jr. picked up another win and increased his lead in the points race. A crazy and wild Bandits feature saw Nick Schmidt take home the checkered flag while Dave Schmidt set a new track record in qualifying.
See the complete race report at misracing.com.
Club LaMark NASCAR Late Models: It was a tough night for those in the top four in the points going into last Friday’s race. Bobby Wilberg is on top of the charts with 942 points while Zack Riddle is second with 843. John Beale is in third with 791 followed by Jon Reynolds Jr. (700) and John Baumeister Jr. (682). Matt Lundberg is the top rookie in the division.
Dave’s White Rock Sportsman: Robert Hansberry Jr. is still the leader with 1229 points followed by Steve Anderson at 1103 points. Mike Taylor (963), Ryan Goldade (923), and Trevor Robinson (853) complete the top five. Robinson leads Gary Hellenbrand for Rookie of the Year honors.
Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits: Brandon DeLacy continues to lead the points race with 823 while Nick Schmidt moved into second with 732 points. Steve Dickson is in third with 716 while James Junget (665) and Lyle Phillips (632) round out the top five. Sam Messel is the leading rookie in the division.
Wilberg, Hansberry Jr., and DeLacy are also the leaders in the RA Heating and Air Conditioning Dash Series.
Each division has three features remaining on their schedule…weather permitting.
