(Oregon, WI) – One of the most anticipated events of the summer is set to take center stage Friday night at Madison International Speedway as the Fast Cars and Freedom 76 brings together a talented field of Late Models and Dave’s White Rock Misfitz for an action-packed evening of racing and patriotic celebration.
A strong field of 21 Late Models is expected for Friday night’s Twin 38-lap feature events. The entry list includes 2026 feature winners Bobby Wilberg, Brent Edmunds, Blake Nottestad, and Michael Bilderback, along with four-time ASA Midwest Tour Champion Casey Johnson.
Jake Gille enters the night atop the Late Model point standings and will be looking to capitalize on the increased purse while chasing his first Madison International Speedway victory of the season. Defending Track Champion Shaun Scheel is also among the contenders. Currently second in the standings, Scheel will be aiming to close the gap in the championship battle while seeking his first Late Model win of 2026 at Madison. With several proven winners and title contenders in the field, fans can expect two highly competitive 38-lap feature races on Friday night.
The Dave’s White Rock MISfitz division has produced plenty of parity so far in 2026, with three different winners emerging through the first four feature events. Nick Schneider leads the way with two victories, while Kenny Storkson and Waylon Robinson have each visited Victory Lane once this season. The field will also feature a pair of former champions, as two-time MISfitz Champions Dave Edwards and Dan Snyder are both entered. With a mix of proven veterans and current front runners, the MISfitz are shaping up for another highly competitive showdown on Friday night.
Fans can expect a full night of exciting racing action leading up to the area’s largest ground and aerial fireworks displays. Pit gates will open at 3:30 pm with spectator gates opening at 4:30pm. Practice will get underway at 4:45pm with Qualifying at 6:15pm and Racing is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.
