Oregon, WI- Friday Night July 27, Bobby Santos III rolls into ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ with momentum on his side after winning a thrilling NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at ‘The Magic Mile’ last Saturday. It was the third triumph in a row for Santos at New Hampshire Speedway. He will now return to Madison International Speedway Friday Night, just a month after his runner-up effort in USAC Silver Crown action at MIS.
The decorated Franklin, Mass driver will pilot a Must See Racing Sprint Car in pursuit of the checkered flag and with cooler temperatures forecast, a chance to break David Byrne’s 410 Winged Sprint Car Track Record of 14.624 seconds/123.09 MPH. The Must See Racing Sprints will be joined by the Midwest Truck Series, Great Northern Sportsman Series and Midwest Dash Series with all four divisions competing on the half mile paved oval during America’s Winged Tailgate Party this Friday night. Santos is familiar to many Wisconsin race fans as he was victorious at the Milwaukee Mile in open wheeled competition.
Spectator gates open at 6pm with time trials at 6:15pm, racing action gets underway at 7:30pm. In honor of the Tailgate Party, Klements Hot Dogs are just $1 with 12 ounce cans of Busch Light are available Friday for $2. Adult general admission tickets are $18, Whelen Heroes and Seniors are $16, Students ages 12-17 are $10, kids 6-11 $5 with children ages 5 and under admitted free. Family pricing allows up to two adults and up to four youth admissions (ages 17 and under) into this Special Event for $40.
