Ring of Fire Quarter Mile Mania at MIS Details Announced

Oregon, WI- The first ever ‘Ring of Fire Quarter Mile Mania’ will take place at Madison International Speedway on Friday night, the 11th of September. Being contested on the quarter mile paved oval which is affectionately known as the Ring of Fire, the season ending event will showcase the Midwest Dash Series, Bandits, 6shooters, Legends, Bandoleros and the Run What Ya Brung Class. A full racing program of heat races and features will take place at the 50-acre family owned and operated facility in rural Dane County Wisconsin. Pit Admission

Pit/Competitor/Team Admission will cost $25 per person with standard entry procedures in place. Everyone under the age of 18 will need a completed Minor’s Release to enter. There is no minimum age to enter pit area, under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Team Express Entry

Those associated with a team that do not require access into the pit area are invited to use our all new Team Express Line (no signatures needed) which opens at 6pm at the Ticket Office, to gain individual access (on foot) to the facility and stepped concrete viewing area along the frontstretch. Express passes are $15 each, ages 11 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Fan Admission

Admission is allowed as a drive-in event with Hilltop viewing, $15 per person in vehicle, ages 11 and under are free. No maximum or minimum number of people per vehicle. You may leave your vehicle to visit concessions and restrooms. Otherwise we ask that you stay adjacent to your vehicle.

Facilities

Our main and pit concessions, beer stand and restrooms will be open with increased sanitation practices in place. Those present are reminded to adhere to recommended social distancing guidelines, including the use of a face coverings when unable to properly social distance.

Rules: Will follow INEX US Legend Cars rules, finalizing sanctioning to make INEX point event

Payout: $200 to win, $65 to start, MIN $50

Feature Laps: 25 Laps

Bandoleros

Rules: Will follow INEX Bandolero rules, finalizing sanction to make INEX point event

Payout: $100 to win, $25 to start thanks to Taylored Construction

Feature Laps: 15 Laps

Run What Ya Brung

Rules: Vehicle must have eight (8) cylinders, must have full cage and all standard safety equipment. This is a Run What Ya Brung Class, rough driving and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Line-ups will be at GM’s discretion, to make the best show and to attempt to make sure that YOU HAVE FUN! Some entries may have to start as many as one lap down, maybe more, DO NOT ENTER if this is a problem for you. This is a for FUN event. Types of Race Vehicles Allowed: MISfitz, Sportsman, Offroad Trucks, Dirt Late Models, Modifieds, Trucks, Mid-Americans, Hobby Stocks, Asphalt Late Models, Cars with between seven and nine cylinders, 602 Late Models, Vintage and more. Spotters will be permitted if so desired.
