A collective effort has resulted in a common asphalt Super Late Model rules package for the 2024 racing season and beyond for much of Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa. Parties from Dells Raceway Park, Slinger Super Speedway, Jefferson Speedway, Madison International Speedway, State Park Speedway, LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, Grundy County Speedway as well as the ASA Midwest Tour and Alive for 5 Series worked alongside one another to create this package for the betterment of short track racing throughout the upper Midwest.
Communication is on-going with other regional tracks and sanctioning bodies which are encouraged to adopt the unified set of standards. Special events throughout the state including the 45th Slinger Nationals, 55th Oktoberfest Race Weekend, 59th National Short Track Championships, 41st Larry Detjens Memorial, Gandrud Auto Group 250, 63rd Bettenhausen Memorial, Icebreaker 100, Joe Shear Classic 200, many well-known traditional events and yet to be announced special events will all be contested under this package. While nearly identical for many years, teams had been tasked with adjustments to weights, weight percentages, spoilers and more in order to run throughout the state and region. Those barriers to entry have been removed through this process.
