
Fan favorite Paul Shafer Jr. is among the growing list of entries for the Joe Shear Classic presented by Toyota on Sunday May 4th.
Shafer, hailing from Portage, Indiana, is no stranger to success at Madison International Speedway. In 2017, he secured a victory in the Howie Lettow Classic at MIS, when the event was a part of the Triple Crown Series.
Shafer has found success at Grundy County Speedway as well. He’s a two time winner of the Wayne Carter Classic as well as a former winner of the Tony Bettenhausen Memorial. Other notable wins include the Gandrud Auto Group 250 at Wisconsin International Raceway and the Salute the Troops 100 at Jefferson Speedway.
The Joe Shear Classic presented by Toyota is set for Sunday May 4th. Spectator gates open at 10:30am while practice for the Midwest Tour and Midwest Trucks gets underway at 11:30am with qualifying at 12:45pm and the first race at 2pm.
