Over $1,000 in MISfitz Bonuses Up For Grabs Friday Night at MIS

Story Image

Oregon, WI- Competitors in the Dave’s White Rock MISfitz will be eligible for over $1,000 in bonuses this Friday Night (June 6, 2025) at Madison International Speedway.  Division sponsor Dave’s White Rock owner Dave Grueneberg, a two-time MIS Truck Champion, wanted to bring increased awareness to the division.

The concept of the MISfitz is simple, don’t breakout.  A method that has been used in drag racing for decades has now made its way to circle track racing.  This week’s time has been established at 19.900 seconds.  Drivers are allowed one ‘Mulligan’ per race which allows them to be up to 0.300 seconds below the set time as long as it is not utilized on the final lap.  As a reminder, any driver turning the perfect lap (19.900) in qualifying will receive a 30 rack of Busch Light or 24 pack of RC Cola.  An array of cars meet the rules for the MISfitz, rules can be found on this link

The MISfitz were created after MIS owner Gregg McKarns observed many teams from various walks of racing spending cubic dollars chasing the front.  Those same teams were all basically in the same speed range and McKarns noted that with simple mechanical adjustments those teams can dial their vehicles in to be competitive, at a reasonable investment, all the while having FUN RACING at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’.
