Oregon, WI- The Pepsi Season Opener scheduled for tonight, Friday May 13, at Madison International Speedway has been rained out. Strong, long lasting storms have been moving across the region and are scheduled to arrive at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ around 4pm, when practice was scheduled to begin. “While it has not rained yet, I have been studying this system since last night and throughout the morning. It appears that the timing of the rain will not allow us to race tonight.” Stated Speedway owner Gregg McKarns. “I should have known better than to schedule something on Friday the 13th. We were all looking forward to a great start to the season, which we will still have, just one week later.”
