Oregon, WI- With severe weather forecast to move into Southern Wisconsin this evening, the Street Drags event originally scheduled to take place at Madison International Speedway tonight, Thursday September 12, has been postponed. The final installment of the popular event which features over twenty brackets of double elimination drag racing will now take place on Saturday afternoon September 21 at 1pm.

“With the timing of these storms and already saturated grounds, we did not want to get everyone here and not be able to complete the event.” Stated MIS Co-owner Gregg McKarns. “They are predicting the possibility of high winds and hail in addition to heavy rainfall. With the weather pattern we are in, there’s no point in putting everyone and their vehicles in harms way.”

Saturday afternoon September 21 will feature the Street Drags as well as the Shine ‘N Show competition. Registration will open at 11am with Trial Runs and Spectator Gates opening at noon, Brackets will begin at 1pm. Registration is $10 per bracket with pit admission $10 per person, those under the age of 18 will need a completed Minor’s Release. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults with ages 11 and under admitted free.

Last September saw a record 342 bracket entrants partake in the 300’ Drag Races. Madison International Speedway is located at 1122 Sunrise Rd in Oregon, WI. Call 608-835-9700 or visit www.misracing.com for additional information.
