Exciting weekly racing action begins this Friday night at Madison International Speedway when the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock MISfitz, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and Roto Rooter 6Shooters get on track for the NASCAR Whelen All American Season Opener. It’s also Student Night with all students possessing a valid ID receiving free admission.
Headlining the racing program will be the NASCAR Late Models. Defending champion Zack Riddle will lead a talented field of drivers from throughout the region back to the green flag in 2019. The Ring of Fire will come alive when the Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits and Roto Rooter 6Shooters battle it out. The four cylinder Bandits are known for two and three wide racing and always putting on a great show. Nick Schmidt was the 2018 champion. The 6Shooters offer an opportunity for anyone to get involved in racing without spending much money. Crazy and wild is the rule for the entry level 6Shooters.
New this season will be the MISfitz division that is open to a variety of vehicles including cars from the former Sportsman division but also trucks, modifieds, vintage cars, and more. This unique division will feature a little of everything but with a twist…competitors are not allowed to turn a lap of less than 20 seconds. Guaranteed excitement…oh yes!
This season weekly racers who are NASCAR members will compete for over $13,000 in point fund money. The 2019 weekly racing season will culminate on Friday, August 30th with double features.
Pit gates open at 2:30 with practice at 4:00, qualifying 6:15, and racing at 7:30. Adult admission is $14.00 / Seniors and Whelen Heroes $12.00 / Students 12-17 $8.00 / Children 6-11 $5.00 / Five and under are free. A Family Pass is just $30.00 and includes two adults and up to four students / children.

The Super Late Models return on Friday, May 31st for Round Two of the Alive for Five Series Capital Classic Twin 50’s. The event will pay $3500 to the overall winner. The NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock MISfitz, and Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits will also be in action.
