NASCAR Champions to be Crowned Tonight at Madison

What a great way to kick off your Labor Day weekend! Perfect weather and an exciting racing program means you’ll want to spend tonight under the lights at Madison International Speedway with your friends and family. Twin features are on tap for all three divisions.

Three NASCAR track champions will be crowned tonight at Madison in the Club LaMark NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, and Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits. No point lead is safe with double features where one driver could potentially earn 215 points with a clean sweep.

Bobby Wilberg will be going for track championship number twelve at Madison in the Late Models. He has a 121 point lead over defending champion Zack Riddle entering tonight’s event. John Beale, Jon Reynolds Jr., and John Baumeister Jr. round out the top five. Ty Majeski will be back in search of a NASCAR national championship which will make the talented field of weekly racers even stronger as many visiting drivers are headed to Madison.

Robert Hansberry Jr. has a 140 point lead over Steve Anderson in the Sportsman division while Brandon DeLacy leads Steve Dickson by 114 going into tonight. A championship for Hansberry Jr. would be his third while DeLacy is seeking his first title at Madison.

Wilberg, Hansberry Jr., and DeLacy are also the leaders in the RA Heating and Air Conditioning Dash Series.

Pit gates open at 3:30 followed by practice at 5:00, qualifying at 6:15, and racing at 7:30. Adult admission is $14.00 / Whelen Heroes and Seniors are $12.00 / Students 12-17 are $8..00 / Kids 6-11 are $5.00 with kids 5 and under free.
