Mother Nature Wins at Madison

Despite the best efforts to move the racing program along it was Mother Nature who took the checkered flag last night as strong thunderstorms forced the cancellation of the racing program.

Qualifying and Dash events were held for the Late Models, Sportsman, and Bandits along with an abbreviated feature for the visiting Bandoleros before high winds and heavy rain stole the show.

Michael Guderski was declared the winner in the Bandoleros feature after 11 of their 15 laps were completed.

A decision on a date to make up the features for Late Models, Sportsman, and Bandits will be announced. No points have been assigned from last night’s events other than the Dash results which do not figure into the season points race.

Fans in attendance last night are reminded that rain checks are good for any event in the current year. Simply present your rain check at the ticket window. Any difference in the price between the rain check and that night’s event must be paid.

Next week is double feature night for the Late Models, Sportsman, Bandits, and Six-Shooters. It’s also Buck Night with all concessions just $1.00 and beer for only $2.00. Pit gates open at 3:30, practice at 5:00, qualifying at 6:15 with racing at 7:30.
