This Friday night the Midwest Truck Series comes to town to take on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile as part of America’s Winged Tailgate Party. The trucks will join an exciting racing program featuring the 410 Winged Must See Sprint Cars, Great Northern Sportsman Series, and Midwest Dash.

Thirty exciting action packed laps of racing is on tap for the Midwest Trucks who return to their birthplace for the third time this season and for more than 180 times in their history that dates back to 1997. James Swan picked up the win back in May as part of the Joe Shear Classic while 2001 Super Late Model champion Todd Kluever took home the victory in the June event.

The Midwest Trucks are known for their competitive side by side racing and Friday’s event will be no exception. The series is comprised of a variety of veteran drivers such as Swan, Kluever, Kevin Knuese, Jerry Wood, and Jeff Holtz plus a group of talented young pilots such as Luke Fenhaus, Levon Van Der Geest, and Parker Retzlaff.

Rookie Luke Fenhaus leads the championship points race for the Midwest Truck Series with a slight five point advantage over James Swan so this week’s Madison race will have a lot at stake. After Friday night’s race at Madison the trucks have six more races on their schedule including their stop at Madison on August 24th as part of the Howie Lettow Classic.

One thing is for certain…it’s anyone’s race this Friday. Over the years, forty-four different drivers have won features at Madison.

Grandstands open at 6:00 PM this Friday with qualifying at 6:15 PM and racing at 7:30 PM. America’s Winged Tailgate Party will feature Klement’s Hot Dogs for just $1.00 and cans of ice cold Bush Light for only $2.00.
