The Midwest Dash Series is back at Madison International Speedway as part of Salute to America Night this Friday.. These high-flying four cylinder cars will be taking on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile. The series will be back on August 12th when they battle it out of the “Ring of Fire” as part of the Cheese Curd Cup.
After having their event on the half-mile rained out last June, the series returned in August with Karter Stark taking home the checkered flag and setting a four cylinder track record on the “Ring of Fire” with a lap of 14.099 (63.834 mph).
The four cylinder car track record on the half-mile was set in August of 2020 and belongs to Kyle Stark with a time of 20.979 (85.800 mph). Brandon DeLacy was the winner picking up the Badger Cup that night when thirteen Midwest Dash cars took on the half-mile.
This year Phil Malouf is the current point leader in the series with a 458-450 advantage over Scott Ciesielski who was a recent winner at Golden Sands Speedway. Rounding out the top five in points are Tim Finstad, Merek Pankow, and Anna Malouf. Fifteen to twenty cars are expected for this Friday night’s race.
Pit gates on Friday open at 2:30 with practice at 4:45, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:30.
