Oregon, WI – Five-time ASA Midwest Tour champion and 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ty Majeski put down the fastest overall lap in practice for Sunday’s Joe Shear Classic 200 presented by Toyota at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, WI.
The three-time winner of this event, Majeski put down a lap time of 17.384 seconds in the third practice session. The Seymour, Wisconsin driver, along with Luke Fenhaus, arrived this morning after competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Texas Motor Speedway.
Two-time defending ASAMT champion Gabe Sommers put down the second fastest time of 17.466 seconds in the final practice session.
2024 ASAMT Rookie of the Year and defending TUNDRA champion Ty Fredrickson was third fastest, with a 17.467 in the second session.
Big 8 Series champion Michael Bilderback was fourth quick with a time of 17.472 seconds in the final session.
Levon Van Der Geest, who finished second in last year’s ASAMT championship, rounded out the top five with a time of 17.514 seconds.
Penn Sauter, 2025 ASAMT Rookie contender, was sixth on the chart with a 17.517 seconds.
A total of 29 cars participated in Saturday’s practice session.
Sunday will get underway with a driver’s meeting at 10:45 a.m. followed by practice at 11:30 a.m. for the ASA Midwest Tour and the Midwest Truck Series. Qualifying gets underway at 12:45 p.m. with racing starting at 2 p.m.
NASCAR Hall of Fame member and five-time IROC Champion Mark Martin will be the grand marshal for Sunday’s event. He will sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
