Madison Speedway Racing Update

Story Image

We wanted to bring everyone up to speed on what’s happening at MIS as of today, May 14.

RACING: With the Dane County extension of the ‘Safer at Home’ order through May 26, racing activities are on hold through then. That being said, our current goal is to be racing on Friday Night May 29.  We WILL NOT race without spectators in the stands.

SCHEDULE: The current plan is to pick up where we left off with dates and divisions and then adjust from there. The schedule is likely to be adjusted as the summer progresses, but we do not currently envision changing our May or June line-ups.

WHAT TO EXPECT: It appears masks will be strongly recommended, we are looking into best methods for socially distancing in our expansive grandstands, there will be other adjustments as needed. Just know that we will jump through whatever hoops necessary to make a night at the races as comfortable, safe and yet FUN as we can.

COMMUNICATION: We will continue to update our website and social media channels. If you have questions or need more information please email us at gm@misracing.com

TICKETS: Those of you that had purchased season passes we will work with you to make up any or all missed events. Once we have a clearer picture of the summer moving forward, we intend to reschedule the Joe Shear Classic.

THANK YOU: On behalf of our family, staff and race teams, thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through these times. We appreciate your past, present and future support.

See you at the Races 🏁

Gregg, Angie, Al and Evy McKarns
