Oregon, WI- The 2026 Madison International Speedway Season Schedule has officially been released. Sixteen racing events are slated for ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ along with six Street Drag events.

The Weekly Late Models will contest sixteen features across eight nights beginning Friday May 15, paying a minimum of $1,000 to win each feature contest. Likewise the MISfitz division will appear eight nights with fifteen features on the docket. The 6shooter class will again tackle the quarter-mile Ring of Fire throughout the season with twelve features scheduled to decide their Champion. The High School Racing Association will race on four nights during their point season.

Super Late Models will kick off the MIS oval season with the Joe Shear Classic for the ASA Midwest Tour on Sunday afternoon May 3. The ‘Stars and Cars’ of the Midwest Tour will return on Friday July 24 for the 12th annual Howie Lettow Classic Bytec Dairyland 100. A Special Tuesday Night appearance by the ASA Stars National Tour on Tuesday June 23 marks the fourth appearance at Madison by the National Super Late Model sanctioning body for the Capital 200. August 28 will again see the ARCA Menards Series take to the MIS High Banks for a live national television broadcast.

Street Drags will begin on the final Sunday of April (April 26) for the Super Sunday Spring Street Drags before residing on its second Thursday of the Month slot for May through September. With an average of over 200 bracket entries per event last season, there are cars and trucks to feed any car enthusiast’s appetite. Additionally, the Shine ‘n Show Contest continuously brings some of the nicest vehicles out of hiding and puts them on display throughout the grounds.

The Area’s Biggest and Best Fireworks Display will take place during Fast Cars and Freedom Night on Friday June 19 and again during Fink’s Paving Championship Night on Friday August 14. Additional Family Fun nights include Monster Trucks and the $1,000 Coin Scramble on June 5, Kids Bike Races on August 7 and Hot Wheels Give A Way on May 22.

New for 2026 are five Hometown Nights with reduced admission prices, Gas Fest 2026, Horsepower and Hops and for the first time ever, Wisconsin’s Fastest Meat Raffle. Returning promotions include $2 Busch Beer Nights, Kids Free Nights, 2 for 1 admission night, Racers’ Reunion and the much anticipated 6th annual Cheese Curd Cup.

The Big 8 Late Model Series will once again make two visits this season. Other visiting divisions include the Midwest Dash, Upper Midwest Vintage Series, Hobby Stocks, Bandits, Legends and Bandoleros. Making their long awaited return to MIS are the 602 Outlaw Late Models, DRP Modifieds and the Milwaukee Stock Car Racing Association Vintage Modifieds, each appearing once in 2026.

There are three pre-season practices available for oval racing teams. They are on Saturday April 25, Joe Shear Classic practice on Saturday May 2 and one final chance to test on Friday May 8.
