We just wanted to take a moment to bring everyone up to speed on what is going on here at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’.

Double Features on July 23: The Friday night July 23 program will feature double features for the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock MISfitz, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits and the Roto Rooter 6shooters. As a reminder to the teams, double features pay 70% of the standard purse per feature or 140% purse for the night. There is no increase in pit or grandstand admission. Pit gates open at 3:30, practice begins at 5pm, spectator gates open at 6pm, qualifying gets underway at 6:15pm with the RA Heating and Air Conditioning Dashes going green at 7:30pm.

Autograph Night Added to August 6 Kids’ Night: In addition to the Union 464 Kids’ Night Bike Races and Bike Give-A-Way, the annual Fan Autograph Night will return as well. Fans will be invited onto the track following qualifying to meet and greet the drivers.

‘B’ Bandits: It was announced during last week’s drivers’ meeting that the Bandits would now have a ‘B’ class. Those Bandits following MIS rules will be considered ‘A’ and those following exact Jefferson Speedway rules will be considered ‘B’. There will be separate heat races contested with a combined feature with ‘B’ lined up in front of ‘A’ class Bandits. The top finishing ‘B’ Bandit will be awarded a minimum of $150 as well as a trophy in victory lane. A complimentary NASCAR License will be provided for any Bandit driver competing at any of the remaining Bandit events (7/16, 23, 8/6, 20).

Racers’ Reunion Reminder: All past racers at Capital, Impact and/or MIS are invited out to the Finishline Towing and Repair Racers’ Reunion featuring the Big 8 Late Model Series on Friday night July 30. Please RSVP by emailing gm@misracing.com or by calling 608-835-9700. We will have an autograph session under our Turn 4 Party Pavilion as well as hor d’oeuvres and beverages for the former racers.

NASCAR Championship Night August 20: We will crown our 2021 Track Champions on Friday August 20 with a Double Feature Program for the Late Models, MISfitz, Bandits and 6shooters.

Fireworks Added to August 27 Howie Lettow Classic: The Howie Lettow Classic will now feature Fireworks following the conclusion of the ARCA Midwest Tour Howie Lettow Classic. The Midwest Truck Series and 602 Outlaw Late Models will also be in action.
