Oregon, WI- Five local businesses have joined forces to provide tire relief for the NASCAR Late Model teams during the 2022 season at Madison International Speedway. Olson Auto Exchange, Conant Automotive, Wayne Ace Bus Service, Independent Paintless Dent Repair and The UPS Store Stoughton will offer each competing Late Model team a $25 voucher valid towards the purchase of their tire for the following week’s competition. With tire prices raising nationally, these five businesses decided to step in and help absorb some of that increase for the teams.
“We have seen a drastic increase in tire prices throughout the industry, our weekly Late Model teams have seen their tires increase by $40 over last season, even with our one tire a night program, that is still tough on a racer’s budget.” Commented Madison International Speedway’s Gregg McKarns. “Dave from The UPS Store Stoughton spearheaded this effort. It is great to know that our local business community is willing to step in and help our teams even more than they already do, what a great community.” The one tire rule at Madison allows teams to add just one new tire into their bank of tires each week. This season, all 15 NASCAR Late Model events will pay $1,000 to the winner with the standard 30 lap feature paying $240 to start.
NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series action begins this Friday night May 13 with double features for the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock MISfitz, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits and Roto Rooter 6shooters. Spectator Gates open at 6pm with qualifying at 6:15pm and racing begins at 7:30pm.
