Levon Van Der Geest Enters Capital 200

(Oregon, WI) – Kulwicki Driver Development Program driver Levon Van Der Geest is entered for this Friday’s Capital 200 at the Madison International Speedway. Van Der Geest is off to a very strong start to his 2024 season as he currently sits 2nd in ASA Midwest Tour Point Standings. He is coming off of a 2nd place finish with the tour at the Jefferson Speedway just a couple weeks ago where he also had fast time.

He also currently leads the Super Late Model point standings at the Golden Sands Speedway where he won the season opener and has finished in the top 5 in all events thus far.

Just one year ago he ran all 3 of the ASA STARS National Tour events in the state of Wisconsin including the Joe Shear Classic where he came home with a 5th place finish against the nation’s best Super Late Model drivers. Last season he also had two 3rd place finishes including the Larry Detjens Memorial at State Park Speedway and the Hawkeye 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. 2019 was a season to remember for the young Merrill, WI driver. He became the Midwest Truck Series Champion coming away with 5 wins in the season. He was victorious twice at Marshfield, and picked up wins at Dells Raceway Park, Madison International Speedway and became the youngest stock car winner in Milwaukee Mile history.

The Friday event at Madison is scheduled as a one-day show, with all on track activity June 14. The Milwaukee event will provide for practice and tech inspection for the ASA STARS National Tour on Saturday, June 15; with Go Fas Pole Qualifying and the Father’s Day 100 Sunday Afternoon, June 16. Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement super-late model stock cars debuted in March 2023 for Super Late Model racing in America.

The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in 7 states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
