The biggest Friday night racing program of the season takes center stage tomorrow night as part of Super Friday at Madison International Speedway.
Highlighting the racing action will be Round Two of the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge along with the Whelen All American Series NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and Roto Rooter 6Shooters. It’s the only time you’ll see the Super Late Models and Late Models on the same night.
Round One winner Dan Fredrickson will be making the long trip from Minnesota to one of his favorite tracks to see if he can make it two in a row. But it’s not going to be easy when you take a look at the pre-entry list that includes the likes of Bobby Wilberg, Rich Bickle Jr., Paul Shafer Jr., and John Beale who finished in the top five back in June.
But the talent doesn’t stop there…
What about drivers like Andrew Morrissey, who won the Joe Shear Classic at Madison in May or Austin Nason coming off a strong performance at the Kar Korner 100 at the Rockford Speedway last Saturday. Add in drivers like Travis Sauter, Dennis Prunty, Jeff Storm and Bobby Kendall who all have had success at Madison. How about Casey Johnson who will be here on Friday. Or will it be someone else in victory lane?
It’s anyone’s guess…you’ll need to be here to find out. It’s going to be 50 laps of side by side racing excitement.
The NASCAR Late Models have been very competitive this season with three different winners in the three races. Jeremy Miller, Michael Bilderback, and Will Rece have driven their way to victory lane in 2017. The Dave’s White Rock Sportsman and Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits feature a lot of hard working men and women who always put on a great show. The Roto Rooter 6Shooters are always entertaining and a little unpredictable too.
Pit gates open at 3:30 with practice at 5:00, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:30.
