Largest Late Model Field in 15 Years Set For Friday Night

(Oregon, WI) – 43 Drivers from 3 states are ready to go for the Big 8 Series and All Star Challenge Co-Sanctioned event. The 48 lap main event pays $1,500 to win and $400 to start.

With five former Big 8 Series Champions in the field, 4 Madison Late Model Championships, several young up and coming drivers and the largest field of late models at Madison International Speedway in 15 years, this Friday night August 2nd is shaping up to be a must see event.

Notable veteran drivers include Zack Riddle, Bobby Wilberg, Casey Johnson, Jeremy Miller, Steve Rubeck, Michael Bilderback, and John Reynolds Jr.

While several young up and coming drivers include Kendrick Kreyer, Michael Guderski, Penn Sauter, Robbie Rucks, Noah Eisenhower, Billy Braun, Laney Osborne and Carson Phillips all look to get their first wins at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile.’

Former Late Model driver at Madison Brady Liddle looks to get back behind the wheel of a late model. Liddle already has one feature win at Madison this season when he got behind the wheel of a 602 late model and won in the MISfitz class.

Pit gates open at 2:30 with Practice getting underway at 4:45. Front gate will open at 6:00 with Qualifying at 6:15 and the first green flag will fly at 7:30. Joining the Big 8, All Star Challenge co-sanctioned event will be the Mid Am Racing Series and the High School Racing Association. Don’t forget that kids 11 and under are free and we’ll have the kids bike races as well!
