Kenseth to Return to MIS
Ross Kenseth will be returning to one of his favorite tracks this summer when he makes three appearances at Madison International Speedway.
He will be competing in the ARCA Midwest Tour Joe Shear Classic event scheduled for Sunday, May 5th and the combined show with the CRA Super Series on Sunday, August 11th. He will also be at MIS on Sunday, July 14th for the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge according to MIS Business / Marketing Manager Jason Tyler.
“I am really excited about getting back to my home track. It’s an awesome place to race and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had some success there. It’s cool to be able to run in front of such loyal fans of short track racing,” said Kenseth.
In 2011 Kenseth won the Joe Shear Classic at Madison and will try to become the first repeat winner in the event that honors one of the greatest short track racing legends. This year Ross is sponored by Blain’s Farm and Fleet, Boyne Machine, Enterprise Iron and Metal, and DOC 360.
Fan gates open at 11:30 AM on May 5th with practice scheduled for 11:30, qualifying at 1:00 PM, and racing to follow.
