It’s Race Day at MIS

Exciting racing action returns to Madison International Speedway today with Round 2 of the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge plus the Club La Mark Midwest Trucks and Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends.

Pit gates open at 10:00 AM with practice from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM with qualifying at 1:15 PM and racing at 2:30 PM.

Casey Johnson of Stoughton, Wisconsin, won the first leg of the Triple Crown back on June 16th when he narrowly edged Nick Murgic of Fairmount, Minnesota at the line.

Today drivers from five states come to take on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile and the Evie Handeland 100.  This race also marks the return of Travis Sauter who has a seven race win streak dating back to 2012.  Sauter was unable to attend the June race due to issues with his car.

Johnson leads the point standings for the four race series that continues on July 28th and September 8th.

Jerry Wood and Chester Ace have split the first two races for the Club La Mark Midwest Trucks while Aaron Moyer is two for two in the Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends.

Tickets are $20.00 for ages thirteen and up with students 6-12 years old paying $5.00 with five and under free.
