The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is here at Madison International Speedway tonight for the running of the Herr’s Potato Chips 200. The racing excitement tonight on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile begins at 8:00 PM. This event will feature live pit stops plus some of the best two and three wide racing you’ll see anywhere.
Arrive early to catch practice from 1:15 – 3:00 PM followed by qualifying at 5:00 PM and an on-track autograph session at 6:30 PM.
An ARCA race at Madison means you’ll see some of top young racing talent in the country. For example, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Ty Dillon (2011), Chris Buescher (2011-2012), Alex Bowman (2011), Erik Jones (2012), and Chase Elliott (2012) all made the trip to Madison as part of the ARCA Racing Series. NASCAR XFinity and Camping World Truck Series drivers including Grant Enfinger, Spencer Gallagher, Brennan Poole, Kyle Benjamin, Brandon Jones, Austin Wayne Self, Matt Tifft, Ben Rhodes, and Chase Briscoe have all raced at Madison since 2011.
This year will be ARCA’s ninth visit to Madison going back to 1970 when Ramo Stott took home the checkered flag. Other winners included Tom Bowsher (1971), Bruce Gould (1973), Alex Bowman (2011), Chris Buescher (2012), Kyle Benjamin (2013), Justin Boston (2014), and Josh Williams (2016). Last year Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, held off Zane Smith of Huntington Beach, California, to pick up the win on his way to the series championship.
A very talented field of young and up and coming stars will be here tonight.
Sheldon Creed of Alpine, California, leads the list of ARCA stars at Madison tonight. Creed, the current point leader, will be making his first Madison appearance. Venturini Motorsports will have four talented drivers on track led by Eagle River’s Natalie Decker who brings with her the most laps at Madison having previously raced here in a Midwest Truck and Super Late Model. Other Venturini Motorsports drivers include Chandler Smith, Eddie Fatscher and Toni Breidinger.
Drivers like Zane Smith, Bret Holmes, Riley Herbst, and Gus Dean are back for another shot at an ARCA win at Madison after racing here last year.
West Virginia driver Travis Braden is a two-time ARCA / CRA Super Series champion. Seventeen year old Colby Howard from South Carolina will be making his Madison debut racing for Mason Mitchell Motorsports. Another young star, Chase Purdy, is making the trip from Mississippi to battle it out on the half-mile oval.

Adult tickets for tonight’s race are $30.00 / Whelen Heroes, Seniors, and Students 12-17 are $25.00 / Kids 6-11 are $10.00 / Five and under are free. A “Family” ticket that includes two adults and up to four students / kids is just $60.00.
