It’s a Doubleheader of Action at Madison this Week

See back to back nights of racing excitement this week at Madison with the June edition of the One on One Street Drags on the 300’ dragstrip on Thursday with double features for all four racing divisions on the ovals Friday night.

More than 20 brackets of one on one street drag racing are on the schedule for Thursday night. It’s affordable for both competitors and fans with a $10 entry fee per bracket and $10 for grandstand admission or a pit pass.

Double features in four divisions are on tap Friday night including Late Models, 6Shooters, HSRA, and the Milwaukee Stock Car Racing Association Vintage Modifieds. It’s also Gas Fest 2026 highlighted by $2 Chili, $1 Hot Dogs, and $1 Pickled Eggs. Plus, all fans from Green County are eligible for discounted tickets with proof of residency.

Divisions: Late Models, Roto Rooter 6Shooters, HSRA, and Milwaukee Stock Car Association Vintage Modifieds all racing double features.

Times: Pit Gates 3:30 / Practice 5:00 / Grandstands Open 6:00 / Qualifying 6:15 / Opening Ceremonies 7:25 / Racing 7:30

Prices: $18 for Adults / $15 for Seniors 62+ and Heroes / $8 for Students (12-17) / Free for Kids 11 and under /$40 for a Family Ticket which includes admission for up to two adults and four students.

Late Model Preview: Four races…four different winners. The race for a track championship is wide open in 2026 with Bobby Wilberg, Brent Edmunds, Michael Bilderback, and Blake Nottestad all picking up wins. But it’s Jake Gille who currently leads the points race with 353 points followed by Stephen Scheel (344), Shaun Scheel (326), Carter Nilson (321), and Bobby Wilberg (317).

6Shooters Preview: There have also been four different winners in as many races this season with Joshua Zacharias, Dan Bishop, Gracie Flanagan, and Christopher Webb picking up checkered flags. Zacharias is the points leader with 332 followed by Webb (322), Randy Grancorvitz (319), Noah Karr (313), and Nick Lorenz (303) completing the top five.

Milwaukee Stock Car Association Vintage Modifieds Preview: The series recently competed at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway with Darin Allard taking home the win. These cars look really great and will bring back many memories from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

HSRA Preview: The series that features high school students has expanded to ten different tracks throughout the Midwest in 2026. Kennedy Krueger is the two-time defending champion at Madison.

Wet conditions and poor drying weather won out at Madison last Friday night. The Monster Trucks will be back here on Friday, July 10th.

Friday, June 19th: It’s a can’t miss Friday night at Madison when we present the Fast Cars and Freedom 76 (Twin 38s) for the Weekly Late Models paying $1776 to win each feature plus double features for the Dave’s White Rock MISfitz and the Area’s Biggest and Best Aerial and Ground Fireworks display. If you haven’t seen the fireworks at Madison it’s your time to see them this year.
