Oregon, WI- The Thursday Night Street Drags at Madison International Speedway continue to increase in popularity, including in the High School Bracket which saw a record 17 participants last fall. During the upcoming June 14 event on the 300’ drag strip at MIS, the High School Bracket will be showcased, running just before the Bumper to Bumper Finale which features the night’s winners from all brackets.
In honor of area schools’ years coming to a close, the first 30 High School Bracket registrants will receive a FREE bracket entry and will only need to pay for their $10 pit pass for the night. The various cars will be handicapped at the starting line to even up the competition. Everything from imports, trucks, muscle cars and SUV’s have been known to make up High School Drags.
Madison International Speedway also announced that they have created a separate ATV class for ATV and side by sides and have combined the Mustang OEM classes into one, leaving both an Open and OEM bracket for the Mustangs. Registration will start at 6pm on Thursday night June 14, Grudge and Trial Runs start at 6:30pm with Brackets beginning at 7:30pm. The Shine ‘N Show Car Show judging takes place at approximately 8:30pm on the track. Pit admission is $10 per person and bracket registration is $10 per bracket with no additional cost to enter the Shine ‘N Show Contest.
