Oregon, WI- The entry list for this Friday night’s (August 23, 2024) Howie Lettow Classic now sits at 29 ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ASA Midwest Tour Super Late Models. Former NASCAR National Champion Jacob Goede, National Short Track Champion Max Kahler and Dells winner Weston Marthaler are the latest front runners to file and entry for the $5,000 to win, 100-lap feature event at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’.
Jacob Goede is the current point leader at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway and leads the NASCAR Midwest Regional point standings. The nine-time Elko Speedway Track Champion and former NASCAR National Champ returns to Madison where he nearly captured the Joe Shear Classic just a year ago. Goede is a former winner at Tennessee’s Bristol Motor Speedway in the ASA Late Model Series.
Another driver whom came close to victory at Madison in 2023 is Kulwicki Development Driver Max Kahler. The Illinois pilot led late in the Lettow Classic before getting shuffled to third in a three wide melee. Kahler recently won at Grundy County Speedway and is a former Big 8 Series Champion and past winner of the National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway.
Hot off a Late Model win last Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park, Weston Marthaler will make his debut in the ASA Midwest Tour Friday Night. The former Tomah-Sparta Modified Champion ran the majority of the season at Madison, posting three top five and five top ten finishes in seven starts.
