Full Friday Night and Special Event Schedule Set for MIS in 2023
Oregon, WI- The 2023 Madison International Speedway schedule has been made official. The newly announced ASA STARS National Tour will join the Midwest Tour to begin the oval season at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ for the $15,000 to Win Joe Shear Classic 200 on Sunday afternoon May 7. The Super Late Models will be featured two additional times in 2023 with the return of the ‘Capital 100’ June 2 with a pair of twin-50 lap features for the Alive for 5 Series and the $5,000 to win Howie Lettow Classic for the ASA Midwest Tour on Friday night August 25. The Bytec Dairyland USAC Silver Crown 100, six Street Drag events and thirteen $1,000 to Win Late Model feature events highlight the upcoming race season at Madison International Speedway. The first event of the season will be the Super Sunday Spring Street Drags on Sunday April 30, the last Street Drag event attracted just shy of 300 bracket entries.
“The race fan in me is beyond excited for the new season to get here.” stated Madison International Speedway co-owner Gregg McKarns. “It seems like each week offers something different and this schedule was built with the fans and teams in mind. A driver with a Late Model, Truck, 602 Late Model, Truck, Mid-Am or Sportsman can compete in over a dozen feature events this year at MIS.”
Visits from the Big 8 Late Model Series, Midwest Trucks, MISfitz, Impact Survival Series, Mid-Am Racing Series, 602 Outlaw Late Models, Upper Midwest Vintage Series, 6shooters, Hobby Stocks, High School Racing Association, Bandoleros, Area Sportsman, Bandits and the Midwest Dash Series will help complete the 2023 season.
