Load up the car, truck, or van and bring the kids to Madison International Speedway this Friday night for Kids’ Night. All kids 11 and under will be admitted free and the great news doesn’t end there. Quest Industrial Kids’ Club will have exciting drawings taking place all night that will allow young fans to get on track as trophy presenters, assist with opening ceremonies, and more.

But it gets even better during intermission when all children are invited onto the track for the annual $1000 Coin Scramble. Children will be divided up by age groups shortly before thousands of coins are poured on the track.

Five racing divisions will be in action this Friday with the Whelen All American NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, Legends, and Bandoleros.

Point races in the three weekly divisions are starting to heat up with Jeremy Miller (Late Models), Robert Hansberry Jr. (Sportsman), and Dave Schmidt (Bandits) the current leaders. The visiting Legends and Bandoleros will be making their second appearance of 2017 with Aaron Moyer and Alex Hartwig picking up the wins in June.

Since the focus is on “youth” this Friday night, the Bandolero division will bring the fastest 8-12 year old boys and girls on wheels to the “Ring of Fire” driving mini-stock cars. These are the drivers of the future on the track today. Fans of all ages will be able to meet the Bandolero drivers on the concourse during qualifying for pictures and autographs.

All kids are also invited to the Sue McKarns Playground, the best short track play area in the United States. Racing also takes place at the Capital Speedway Slot Car track where kids can race all night for just $5.00.

Pit gates on Friday open at 3:30 with practice at 5:00, grandstands open at 6:00, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:30. Adult admission is $12.00 / Whelen Heroes and Seniors are $10.00 / Students 12-17 are $8.00 and Kids 11 and under are free. A “Family” ticket that includes up to two adults and four students is just $30.00 and can save you as much as $26.00.
