Big 8 Late Models: The Big 8 has been coming to Madison since 2005 when Tim Sauter took home the checkered flag. This Friday night’s race will be their 29th visit here. The 48 lap feature will be the longest late model race of the season at Madison.
Back in May, Michael Bilderback held off Jeremy Miller to win the 48 lap race. Jake Gille edged out Bobby Wilberg for the final place on the podium while Randy Sargent went home in fifth place. Bilderback is the all-time wins leader in the series.
Jeremy Miller has the most wins at Madison with five while Dale Nottestad (4), Bilderback (4), Jon Reynolds Jr. (2), Ross Kenseth (2), and Zack Riddle (2) drivers with more than one victory. Other Madison winners include Randy Sargent, Casey Johnson, Austin Nason, Steve Rubeck, John Baumeister Jr., Ryan Carlson, Brian Hoppe, Brady Liddle, and Sauter.
UMA Modifieds: This will be the first appearance by the Modifieds since 2022 when current MISfitz driver Dave Edwards was the winner. The UMA Modifieds come to us via Dells Raceway Park and will be competing on the ½ mile.
Modified racing at Madison goes back to 1963 and was a weekly division here from 1992-2022. This will be the 180th modified race at Madison since 1992. John Grueneberg is the winningest driver with 19 wins followed by Roy Aitchison (18), Andy Anderson (16), Bobby Wilberg (14), and Jon Reynolds (10).
Legends: This will be a Madison points race for the Slater Racing Legends. It’s their fourth race of the season here with Lincoln Cain picking up two wins and Cael Slater also getting a win.
Top 5: Lincoln Cain (318), Cael Slater (314), Carter Stein (274), Bentley Thompson (264), Ryan Laatsch (247)
The first Legends race at Madison occurred back in 1996 and the division raced weekly here from 2007 to 2014. This week will be the 98th race at Madison.
Bandoleros: The Bandos will make their second appearance of the season at Madison. Oliver Weinkauf was the big winner back in June picking up the checkered flag in the 15 lap feature. Jack Maurer won the B feature. This will be the 35th all-time race at Madison dating back to 2007.
