Oregon, WI- Unseasonably cold temperatures coupled with persistent rain into the afternoon which is predicted to return during the evening hours has forced the cancellation of tonight’s Open Practice scheduled at Madison International Speedway. The Tire Barn will remain open from 4pm until 6pm for those teams needing to purchase tires for the upcoming 2018 race season at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’.
Teams are reminded that the track is available for rent on Wednesday May 16 from 11-2pm and 2-5pm as well as Thursday May 17 from 11-2pm and 2-4pm. The next scheduled Open Practice is slated for Thursday night May 17 from 5-8pm, with pit gates opening at 4pm. Track Rental is $75 per car per time slot while Open Practice fees are $20 per member and $25 per non-member pit pass. Teams interested in track rental should email Gregg at gm@misracing.com.
Friday night NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action begins on Friday May 18 with the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits and the Northern Outlaw Vintage Series. Friday May 18 pit gates will open at 2:30pm, practice beings at 4pm, spectator gates open at 6pm, qualifying gets underway at 6:15pm with the first race at 7:30pm.
