Five-Time Elko Champ Goede Racing at MIS Tonight, Bickle Book Signing

Oregon, WI- He currently sits fourth in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Standings, with the highest point average out of any driver in the top ten. Now Carver, MN hot shoe Jacob Goede has his sights set on the Double Features tonight, Friday July 19, at Madison International Speedway during Fink’s Paving of Mt. Horeb Kid’s Night. Goede, who battled for the lead earlier this season at MIS during the Joe Shear Classic 200 will be bringing his fast #72 Chevrolet to ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ looking to add to his three wins at Elko Speedway, where he is the current point leader. Additionally, former MIS Track Champion Rich Bickle, Jr will be at MIS with author John Close, signing and selling copies of their new book, ‘Barnyard to Brickyard’.

Pit gates open this Friday night at 3:30pm with practice getting underway at 5pm. Spectator gates open at 6pm, qualifying begins at 6:15pm with the first race at 7:30pm. Racing action includes the NASCAR Late Models and Dave’s White Rock MISfitz on the half mile with the Pellitteri Waste System Bandits and Bandoleros taking on the Ring of Fire. Kids ages 11 and under will be invited onto the track for the Kid’s Candy Scramble between double features for all four division during Fink’s Paving of Mt. Horeb Kid’s Night. Adult general admission tickets are $14, Whelen Heroes and Seniors are $12, Students ages 12-17 are $8 with ages 11 and under admitted free.
