All this in one action packed night of fun and excitement at Madison.
Zack Riddle, the 2015 Late Model champion, leads the point standings in the Late Models and currently has a 120 point lead (1110-990) over multi-time champion Jeremy Miller. Will Rece (976), Bobby Wilberg (969) and Shaun Scheel (939) complete the top five.
Four time Sportsman champion Robert Hansberry Jr. leads Ray Hellenbrand (1074-1010) going into the final week with a tight three way battle for third between Trevor Robinson (934), Bryan Hellenbrand (924) and Mike Taylor (922).
In the Bandits, Nick Schmidt shows the way with 1195 points followed by McKayla Adams (1010), Bill Kohn and Lyle Phillips each at 933, and Steve Dickson (862). A championship for Schmidt would be his first at Madison.
The Roto Rooter 6Shooters are eager to get back on track after losing their last event to rain. No point standings are maintained in this true “entry level” division that often is a little unpredictable, wild and always exciting. The men and women of the 6Shooters are definitely ready to put on a great show.
The Upper Midwest Vintage Racing Series (UMVRS) comes to Madison known for great looking, fast, old-style stock car racing. After experiencing a couple of recent rainouts, the UMVRS is very ready to get back on track.
