Oregon, WI- The ‘Best Unpaid Crew’ in the Midwest had their work cut out for themselves last Sunday afternoon during the Midwest Tour Miracle on the Highbanks at Slinger Super Speedway after their driver Ryan Farrell was involved in a backstretch incident in the first of two qualifying features for the Super Late Models. Knowing they were in line for an ARCA Midwest Tour provisional, the team ripped apart the front of their Tiry’s Racing Engines, Adams Heavy Duty Tow, Jacoby Waterproofing, Oak Creek Automotive Chevrolet and borrowed a radiator to answer the bell for the 75 lap finale. The borrowed radiator eventually gave way on the modified late model, sending the 2018 Wisconsin Challenge Series Champion back to the pit area near the finish.
Unsure of their status for this Sunday’s Joe Shear Classic 200 presented by Keen Parts at Madison International Speedway, Farrell and crew accessed the damage and got to work this week, becoming the 30th entry Thursday night for the $15,000 to win event. Also overcoming his share of damage was Eddie Hoffman. The Chicagoland Champion was unsure if he would have his car back together for Sunday’s event but indicated to the Tour office that he and his team would indeed be there after having suffered extensive front end suspension damage last weekend.
