Looking for a place that features great family fun at affordable prices? Then Madison International Speedway is the destination of choice for the entire family this season. MIS is proud to call itself a NASCAR Home Track featuring weekly Whelen All American Series racing action along with a variety of special events located at a legendary facility just minutes from Madison.
So what makes Madison so family friendly? Start with the “Family Pricing” option where two adults and up to four children can save big money at the ticket booth with nightly packages starting at just $30.00 depending upon the event. There is also special family seating available in the 6,100 seat grandstand plus child-friendly concessions, nightly contests, a play area, and many special events. The pits are always open at the end of the night so the entire family is invited to meet the drivers and see the cars up close and personal for pictures, autographs, and great times.
Special events begin right from the start of the season and continue all the way until the final night. Friday night racing takes place each week from May 13th to September 9th with only July 1st being a night off.
Activities begin on May 13th with free racing posters to the first 1,000 fans through the gate. On May 20th families can save big money at the concession stand with nearly all food items just $1.00. On May 27th it’s free admission for kids eleven and under plus the first 500 kids will receive a free collector MIS water bottle and can participate in the kids’ candy scramble at intermission.
Highlighting the June schedule is the area’s biggest and best aerial and ground fireworks extravaganza on Friday, June 24th. This has become a must-see event for fans of all ages as Madison has become well known for the incredible show conducted by ThunderCat Fireworks.
On July 15th it’s once again Buck Night with concessions / soda priced at just $1.00. The $1000 Kids’ Coin Scramble takes place on July 22nd with all kids eleven and under receiving free admission.
The month of August will feature several family events with Fan Autograph Night plus NASCAR Autograph Cards to the first 1,000 through the gates on August 5th. On August 12th it’s NASCAR Acceleration Nation Back to School Night with all kids eleven and under admitted free plus there will be kids’ bike / big wheel /power wheel races on the track during intermission. It’s Fan and Driver Appreciation Night on Friday, August 26th with a post race driver / fan party plus a charity corn boil.
The Eve of Destruction is slated for September 9th with a gigantic fireworks display, monster trucks, drifting, tough trucks tug of war, burn out contest, school bus destruction, and more.
Weekly racing gets going at 5:00 PM with practice, qualifying at 6:10 and racing at 7:30. The speedway is located two miles east of Oregon just south of Highway 138 on Sunrise Road.
