Dalton Zehr Enters This Friday Night’s Shootout at MIS

Oregon, WI- Dalton Zehr, the 2018 ARCA Midwest Tour Champion has filed his entry for this Friday Night’s (June 12) ‘Wisconsin Corn Growers Ring of Fire Shootout’ at Madison International Speedway, part of Bobcat of Janesville Night at the Races. The first ever event held for Super Late Models on the tricky quarter-mile paved oval will feature four barrel carburetors, a step up in horsepower from the regionally accepted two barrel package in a race that will pay a minimum of $2,000 to the winner.

“We had hoped to have a few more entries for this first event, regardless I plan to have fun with it and make the best show possible.” Stated Ring of Fire co-promoter Gregg McKarns. “We tore up some equipment a few weeks ago in Rockford, some mechanical failures here and there, there are still teams working to get their cars ready, we will see what we have roll through the gate Friday night aiming for the BIG pay day. This will be a bonus event for the fans as we have decided that there will be no increase in admission Friday night.” As it stands Zehr and Michael Raskovic, a former Truck Series winner, have filed entries. “You never know unless you try, John Beale and I dreamt this up, this could be the start of something special.” Added McKarns.

The Bobcat of Janesville Night at the Races will feature a full program for the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock MISfitz, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits as well as the Roto Rooter 6shooters in addition to the Ring of Fire Shootout. Spectator Gates open at 6pm, qualifying begins at 6:15pm and racing begins at 7:30pm. Adult general admission tickets are $14, Whelen Heroes and Seniors are $12, Students ages 12-17 are $8, Ages 6-11 are $5 with kids ages 5 and under admitted free of charge. Fans are reminded to take advantage of the family pricing, get up to two adult admissions and up to four admissions for youth ages 17 and under for $30.
