Dale Nottestad not only won the 2012 MIS Track Championship for the Rockweiler Insulation Late Models, but he also won the Morrison’s Auto Parts Dash Series. The Series was for the six fastest qualifiers in the division who raced a six lap dash to begin the racing program each night. Non-championship points were awarded based on a 10-7-5-3-2-1 schedule.
Nottestad led the way with 66 points while Zack Riddle was second with 46 points. Kevin Knuese and Casey Johnson tied for third with 35 points each. Rounding out the top five was Bobby Wilberg with 23. Other drivers earning points included John Baumeister Jr. (12), Chuck Garetson (10), Don Wickstrum (7), Jason Hicks (3), Nate Oppliger and Steve Rubeck (2), and Shane Morrissey (1).
Leading the way in individual Dash victories was Nottestad with three followed by Johnson (2), and Knuese, Baumeister Jr., Wilberg, and Riddle all with one win.
