Chuck “The Bike Man” Does It Again at MIS

by John Wells

Yes, he’s done it again.

Long-time MIS employee Chuck West is once again coordinating the annual bike giveaway at Madison International Speedway for Sunday, September 8th.

This year he’s hoping for more than 25 bikes to be given away throughout the afternoon for the track’s Championship Sunday event.  But he’s aiming much higher and would prefer to see at least 35 two-wheelers to present to lucky winners.

All kids ages 5-14 need to do when they arrive at the track is register at the kids’ club store and sit back and listen for their name to be called between races.

Of course, all of this wouldn’t be possible without gracious donations from sponsors and race teams. MIS will be updating fans with the names of those who make donations.  Those interested in helping can contact West at 608.835.9700.

It’s not only going to be a great day of racing, but a family friendly one as well with grandstand admission set at $30.00 per carload or $10.00 per person.

Grandstands will open at 11:30 AM on September 8th with practice at 11:30 AM, qualifying at 1:15 PM, and racing at 2:30 PM.  Track champions will be crowned in the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge, Club La Mark Midwest Trucks, and Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends.
