Chris Wimmer has set a new track record for Super Late Models at Madison International Speedway with a qualifying lap of 17.245 breaking Andrew Morrissey’s record of 17.413 set in 2004. Wimmer also had the fastest lap in practice with a 17.350. Earlier in qualifying Nathan Haseleu had broken the record before Nick Panitzke took fast time with a 17.253.
