Cheese Curd Cup Puts Ring of Fire in the Spotlight this Friday Night

The second annual Cheese Curd Cup on the “Ring of Fire” presented by Morrison’s Auto takes place this Friday night at Madison International Speedway. Five divisions will take center stage on the quarter-mile “Ring of Fire” including the Midwest Dash Series, Hobby Stocks, Legends, Bandoleros and the High School Racing Association.

The Hobby Stocks have deep roots at Madison where they began as a weekly division in the late 1960’s. Although no longer a weekly series, people look forward to seeing the “big” cars on the “small” track where two and three wide racing has been the norm. In June, the Midwest Dash took on the big half mile and now return to challenge one another on the quarter-mile Friday Night. The always exciting Legends will make their second appearance of 2022 and will be joined by the Bandoleros in preliminary and feature racing. Contesting double features on Friday night will be the High School Racing Assocation, completing their second year of racing here at MIS.

The Best of Wisconsin Shop will be providing free cheese samples while they last as the front gate beginning at 6pm this Friday night. Pit gates open at 3:30 with practice at 5:00, qualifying at 6:15, and racing at 7:30. Adult admission is just $12.00 with Seniors and Heroes $10.00, Students (ages 12-17) $8.00, and children (ages 6-11) $5.00 and kids ages 5 and under admitted free. A Family Pass is just $25.00 and is good for two adults and four students / kids. Madison International Speedway is located at 1122 Sunrise Rd in Oregon, WI.
