Let’s take a look at the points races in each of the divisions.
A total of 315 points is possible for any single Late Model or Bandit driver this week with 215 possible for the MISfitz so big changes in the standings could occur in any of the three divisions.
Late Models: Zack Riddle leads the way in the NASCAR Late Models with 747 points fueled by three feature wins, four fast times, and six out of seven top five finishes. Right behind Riddle in the standings is Bobby Wilberg with 679 points which includes one feature win and six top five finishes. Jacob Goede (628), Shaun Scheel (611), and Stephen Scheel (558) round out the top five.
MISfitz: It’s a tight battle in the MISftiz with Ray Hellenbrand on top of the leader board with 829 points that includes one feature win and one fast time. Rick Coppernoll is right behind with 825 points powered by a division high four wins. Despite missing a night of racing, Colton Morgan is in third with 731 points followed by rookie Eric Adrian (651) and Tim Wondrash (517). It will the first track championship for whomever comes out on top.
Bandits: Nick Schmidt is looking for his third straight championship and goes into the final night as the point leader with 733 which includes a pair of feature wins and four fast times. Ronnie Osborne is second with 677 with a feature win and a perfect seven for seven top five finishes. Dave Schmidt is in third with 660 points which includes a division high four feature wins. Jeremey Bredeson (535) and rookie Kevin Beyer (430) complete the top five.
6Shooters: This is a true entry level division in every sense of the word and does not maintain point standings. It’s all about fun and the thrill of getting to race.
Dash Standings: These point standings are maintained separately from the weekly racing points. In the Late Models, Zack Riddle is up five points over Bobby Wilberg (33-28) going into the final night. Colton Morgan has a two point advantage (30-28) over Ray Hellenbrand in the MISfitz. It’s wide open in the Bandits going into the final dash with Dave and Nick Schmidt tied at 26 followed closely by Ronnie Osborne (25) and Jeremy Bredeson (24).
