Oregon, WI- Race fans will be offered a unique view when the ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ARCA Midwest Tour roll into Madison International Speedway on Friday Night August 26 for the Howie Lettow Classic presented by First Business Bank. The newly added Busch Light Tailgate Zone will allow race fans who wish to, to watch the races from the infield, tailgate and get a different perspective on the racing action at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’.
A total of one hundred parking passes for the Busch Light Tailgate Zone are available for purchase at a price of $50 each. Occupants of the vehicle will need a race ticket in addition to the tailgate parking pass. “This event continues to grow in popularity and we have had a bunch of groups tailgating for our biggest shows. With every division being on the half mile for this event, it was the perfect chance to add the Tailgate Zone. We had something like this at the track I ran twenty years ago in Missouri, we called it the Wild Side. It was a lot of fun and is an element we have been trying to add here at Oregon. We feel this offers a great view of the racing for the fans.” Noted Speedway co-owner Gregg McKarns. “While this is different than our Drive-In Racing during the pandemic, as our grandstands are now fully open, those fans that watched from the infield for that night still talk about how much fun they had. This is an opportunity to build upon what we learned then.” McKarns added that he plans on this being an annual offering for this event at the family owned and operated facility.
