Buck Night is Back this Friday

It’s Back!!!

This Friday night is our second “Buck Night” of the season where all concessions are just $1.00 and beer is only $2.00.

But it gets even better as on track will be the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and Roto Rooter 6Shooters all competing in Twin Features.

That’s right…Buck Night plus Double Features! Does it get any better than that?

A special deal is in place for drivers in the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman division. The cost of the NASCAR Temporary License will be covered by Dave and will cover Friday’s event plus the Badgerland Challenge on August 3rd. Late Model and Bandit drivers purchasing a temporary license will also be able to use it on Friday and on the 3rd.

The point standings remain the same as last week with John Baumeister Jr. and Shaun Scheel tied for the lead in the Late Models, Ray Hellenbrand leading the Sportsman, and Nick Schmidt showing the way in the Bandits. There could be some major shake ups in the standings with over 200 points possible for a driver who can win both features.

Qualifying points from last Friday will be assigned when the rained out features are run on August 10th. No point standings are maintained for the 6Shooter division.

Adult ticket prices are $14.00 with Senior / Whelen Heroes $12.00 / Students 12-17 $8.00 / Children 6-11 $5.00 / Kids 5 and under free.

America’s Wing and Tailgate Party set for July 27th

It will definitely be the most diverse racing program you will see all season at Madison when America’s Wing and Tailgate Party comes to town.

Highlighting the racing program will be the high-flying Must See Racing Sprint Cars. These cars literally fly around the track with drivers from five states expected to make the trip to Madison. These winged, 410 sprint cars will be turning laps in the 14 to 16 second range with Madison’s all-time speed record holder David Byrne expected to be in action.

The Midwest Truck Series returns for the third time this season. The series has completed over 180 feature events at Madison since their birth back in 1997. James Swan and Todd Kluever have taken home the checkered flags in the first two Madison races. Fans can expect great side by side racing which has become the norm when the trucks come home.

The Great Northern Sportsman Series and the Midwest Dash Series will also be racing on the half-mile. Sportsman drivers from throughout the region are expected for this race. The Midwest Dash Series features the fastest four cylinder cars in the Midwest with more than twenty cars expected.

Adult ticket prices will be $18.00. Seniors and Whelen Heroes are $16.00 / Students 12-17 $10.00 / Children 6-11 $5.00 / Kids 5 and under free. A “Family” ticket is priced at just $40.00.

Round Three of Badgerland Challenge Slated for August 3rd

The third round of the Badgerland Challenge involving drivers from Madison and Jefferson is on the docket for August 3rd. Badgerland Challenge racing action is scheduled for the Late Models and Sportsman with the Bandits and 6Shooters also on track.

After winning the opening round at Madison, Shaun Scheel still leads the Late Model standings despite a fifteenth place finish in Round Two at Jefferson. After the two events, Scheel has 91 points followed by Jacob Nottestad (87), Stephen Scheel (86), Dale Nottestad (78), and Tyler James (67).

Robert Hansberry Jr. continues his lead in the Sportsman division. Hansberry Jr., the first round winner, shows the way with 121 points just four points ahead of Jason Thoma (117). The Taylor Brothers (97), Terry Wangsness (96), and Tim Coley (95) round out the top five.

Point standings are maintained separate from each track’s weekly points. Fifty points are awarded to the winner of the feature with a declining scale of two points for each subsequent position. The winner of a heat / qualifying race receives six points while setting fast time earns ten points. Each position in heats and qualifying declines by one point.
